Multicultural Women's National Conference The first annual Multicultural Conference was held in New York in 2003, launching a nationwide dialogue on the role of race, ethnicity and gender in the workplace. Bringing together over 600 executive level women of color—including African-American, Asian, Latina, Hispanic and Native American—the Working Mother Best Companies for Women of Color Multicultural Conference combines groundbreaking editorial content (Working Mother's Best Companies for Women of Color June issue), with unprecedented nationally publicized events. This event provides a safe haven for executive women of color, corporate leaders and diversity professionals to speak and work openly on the most crucial issues. The goal of this dialogue is to help create a benchmark of best practices for America's companies to examine and adopt.
